Since its introduction, the SIG KADET LT-40 has become the R/C trainer of choice at many club fields, Not long after its introduction, we started getting requests for a smaller version of the same airplane. So the compact version of the LT-40 was born - the SIG KADET LT-25.

As you would expect, the new LT-25 inherits all the same gentle flying characteristics of the other legendary SIG KADETS. It has the same light wing loading which allows it to fly slow enough to give the student pilot time to think and react. It has the same "hands off" stability on all axis. If the student pilot gets disoriented, simply let go of the sticks and the LT-25 will recover and return to level flight within seconds.

In addition, the new KADET LT-25 has a couple of features that are "firsts" for any SIG KADET. It is the smallest "full-house" 4-channel KADET we’ve ever produced, with ailerons, elevator, rudder and throttle control standard. It has a taildragger landing gear! In the interest of keeping the flying weight of this little gem as light as possible, we’ve elected to go with the simplicity of a taildragger landing gear. With a wide-stance main gear and a shallow angle of attack on the ground, the LT-25 takes off and lands just as easily as most tricycle gear models. Last but not least, it’s the first SIG KADET that is all laser cut! The CAD drawn plans and CNC (computer-controlled) laser cutter insure the parts fit perfectly. You’ve never built a kit that went together this good!

Rating lets go fly
Purchased a Sig lt 25 kit and finally got it done and in the air. The last kit that I built was a Sig Kavalier 24 years ago. It was a great flier so I decide to build a trainer for my boys. Everything about this kit went together great. Went out to the flying field the other night for the maiden flight. With a couple of clicks of trim all was set for some enjoyable flying. I made a rear mount in the fuselage for future floats. I am 40 and have been flying RC off and on for the last 26 year's, and still loving it. I encourage those that haven't built a kit to try it. Very rewarding! If you are looking for a trainer you will be hard pressed to find better than a Sig Kadet. I have flown several of them and they are great. Join a local club.

Rating Big T
I have been flying model aircraft of virtually every configuration and size for over 30 years. I choose the LT25 because without question and by a very wide margin the Kadet LT25 is the best flying high wing trainer I have ever had the pleasure of flying. Besides the slow gentile, stable characteristics you expect from a light high wing trainer, when I threw almost twice the recommended power on the nose it created virtually no bad habits to work out and just added new facets to the fun you can have. I figure this design has the best chance of withstanding my modifications, whether that be floats, multi engine, whatever and believe me I have bashed a few kits in my time, this design always comes out the other side with most or all of its best traits intact. On top of all that you simply cannot find better quality from materials to plans to Laser cut parts that fit perfectly. I hope this kit stays available for a long time to come. By the way this will be my third kit and it is destined to get a few mods that has it coming out the other side looking and acting a bit like a bush plane. Thank you SIG for keeping this hobby fun and interesting for me.
