SIG T-Clips 70 ARF - YOU ASKED FOR IT AND NOW YOU'VE GOT IT!

Not long after SIG introduced the smaller electric-powered T-Clips (2013 SEFF Best New R/C Aircraft), our customers started asking for a larger version. Now, it is here!

The T-Clips 70 is truly an RC legend in the making. Just like its little brother, it is a beautifully handcrafted all-wood ARF. It was designed by AMA Hall of Fame Member, Mike Gretz. It is engineered for quick assembly with a minimal number of components. All of the parts are CAD-drawn, laser cut, and jig assembled, so everything fits just the way it should. The T-Clips 70 ARF is a pure pleasure to fly, but it also boast tremendous sport aerobatic capabilities if you choose to put your skills on display!

Features of the T-Clips 70 ARF:
  • 70 inch Wingspan ("60 size")
  • SIG "EG" Series - suitable for Electric or Glow power
  • Clear Windshield and Side Windows
  • Wider Fuselage with more scale appearance
  • Aluminum Landing Gear and Fiberglass Cowling and Wheel Pants
  • 2-Piece Wing Design with strong Aluminum Tube Wing Joiner
  • Removable top hatch for easy access to the battery/fuel tank compartment
  • Professionally covered with premium UltraCote covering material

Super cool Plane
Setup is a Hacker A50-14sx with a 14X7 Prop running on 6s. Wattage is 1300 with an all weight of 7.4lbs. I can still prop this much higher if need be. WOW that is about all I can say. The setup with the Hacker motor and prop with 6s pack was perfect. I flew 2 batteries through it with my timer set on 5 minutes as I always do with new planes. Landed as close to the buzzer as possible and tested the packs only 36% gone so I can easily get 12 minute flights and still have reserve. This plane is awesome only needed 2 clicks of right trim to fly straight and level. I mostly flew around at 1/2 or less throttle just to get the feel of the plane. Did a few high speed full throttle passes just for fun. Went a few mistakes high and let it stall nose dropped straight and true no wing dipping at all. Landing was a breeze chop throttle glide in and flare and it just settled in perfectly. Except those dratted moles that have torn my runway up and made the T-clips bounce the landing would have been perfect. This is truly a sport/aerobat, on the second flight I did a few loops rolls snap rolls etc and it does them very nice. This is going to be tagged as a definite "DO NOT SELL" plane in my hanger. I am charging up and getting ready for some more flights. Oh one other ting it is 32F out today so kind of chilly but density altitude is lower so I am sure that helps the flight. I have skis that were on a different plane last winter that will most certainly find their way onto the T-clips. Thank you Sig for making such an awesome plane. I LOVE IT>

SIG TCLIP 70
I flew the Tclip 70 today and it flew beautifully. It was very visible in the sky. I have an electric version with a 60 size motor and 100 amp speed controller. It has plenty of power with a 6 cell battery. Flight times about 6 minutes so far with a 3300 mah battery. Landing was very predictable. I think this will be my favorite for quite some time. It when together quickly in about six hours and some drying time for glue. HIGHLY recommended!

Mr.
One of the nicest ARF's I have ever assembled. Flew great on 4 cells. Using a Neo 60 on 6 cells with a 15" prop this plane will hover vertically. Great flier. Took 2 spins and recovered from a stall. Lands long. This plane is a real floater. The prettiest plane at the field. Would definitely recommend if you like high-wing aerobatics.
